Media Release

08 June 2026

What began as a ride to support Namibia’s black rhino custodians has evolved into something far greater.

Today, Ride for Rangers celebrates and supports the men and women on the frontlines of conservation across Namibia. The rangers, community game guards, conservation officers and local champions who dedicate their lives to protecting wildlife, landscapes and the livelihoods that depend on them.

Since its inception, the tour has united cyclists, conservationists, tourism leaders, businesses and adventurers from around the world for a unique journey through Namibia’s spectacular wilderness. More than just a cycling event, Ride for Rangers is an immersive conservation experience, connecting participants directly with the people and places that make Namibia one of the world’s leading conservation success stories.

For more than a decade, RMB Namibia has proudly stood as a cornerstone partner of Ride for Rangers. From the very first Ride for Rhinos in 2015 to the 12th edition in 2026, our support has ensured the continued growth and impact of this initiative.

Our commitment goes beyond sponsorship. It reflects a shared belief that conservation, economic development and thriving rural communities are deeply interconnected. By supporting Ride for Rangers, RMB invests in the long-term sustainability of Namibia’s landscapes, wildlife and the communities who serve as custodians of both.

Namibia’s internationally acclaimed community conservation model has shown that wildlife thrives when local people are empowered as custodians of the land. Rangers play a vital role in this success, monitoring wildlife, combating poaching, responding to human-wildlife conflict and serving as ambassadors for conservation within their communities.

Ride for Rangers shines a spotlight on their stories, celebrates their contributions, and raises support for the organisations that help them do their jobs effectively.

Each year, the route showcases a different corner of Namibia, from rugged mountains and vast desert plains to thriving conservancies and remote wilderness areas. Along the way, riders experience:

  • Wildlife encounters
  • Campfire conversations
  • Conservation presentations
  • Cultural interactions
  • Unforgettable moments shared with like-minded individuals who care deeply about Africa’s future

At RMB, we believe:

  • Conservation is not only about animals, it is about people.
  • Conservation lives where communities stand.
  • Every ranger’s story deserves to be told.

Ride for Rangers is ultimately a celebration of those who stand between wildlife and extinction, between wilderness and degradation, between future generations and the loss of something irreplaceable.
