RMB sponsors Accenture Gender Mainstreaming Award category
RMB is delighted to be a category sponsor for the Accenture Gender Mainstreaming Awards (GMAs). This year’s GMAs will be presented on 6 October 2022. The awards were developed by Business Engage to acknowledge and celebrate instances where women are represented meaningfully in mainstream business across Africa.
For the 2022 awards RMB has introduced a new category: RMB’s Africa’s Fearless Thinker award. This award seeks to identify an individual who is recognised among their colleagues and/or community for their ground-breaking, innovative thought leadership on tackling gender mainstreaming issues.
The name of the RMB-sponsored award – Africa’s Fearless Thinker – is derived from the statues of the same name that stands proud at RMB’s offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Windhoek. The statue shows a proud and courageous African teenage girl walking alongside a contemporary concrete lion.
Welcoming visitors onto the respective campuses, RMB’s Africa’s Fearless Thinker serves as a visual reminder of an environment where all people are encouraged to fearlessly reach their potential, while at the same time taking the gender equality conversation into society.
It is therefore only apt that the winner of this category is awarded a maquette of RMB’s Africa’s Fearless Thinker.
