At RMB, we believe that business plays an integral part in finding solutions to society’s economic, social and environmental challenges. One such challenge is protecting Namibia’s critically endangered rhino population. We have sponsored the Ride for Rhinos cycling tour since its inception in 2015. The tour supports various rhino conservation initiatives in northwestern Namibia, including Save the Rhino Trust. The RMB Ride for Rhinos also creates awareness of Namibia’s rhino conservation programmes and raises much needed funds.
The Save the Rhino Trust Namibia is a non-profit organisation that monitors an area of more than a million hectares, with few fences and no national park status. As the fight against rhino poachers is far from won, there is no time for complacency, which is why the Save the Rhino Trust is intensifying its efforts in the face of this very real threat.
Our joint action with our partners – Save the Rhinos Trust, Wilderness Safaris, Cymot and Venture Media – has unlocked numerous possibilities to support wildlife conservation in this remote region.
